505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have announced that they are early in the planning stages of making a bigger-budget Control sequel, alongside developing a four-player multiplayer game in the world of Control called Project Condor.
The two announcements come after Control has sold more than 2 million copies and exceeded €70 million in revenue. The first teaser concept art for Project Condor was also shared, which you can see below:
Speaking on the topic of the multiplayer PvE title series director Mikael Kasurinen said that:
“We get that there is going to be scepticism about multiplayer. But I believe we can create shared experiences without compromising the unique DNA of who we are, or the stories we want to tell. Yes, we need to re-think our angles, our techniques, our mindset, but we see it as an exciting challenge: what would a Remedy multiplayer game look like?”
This news comes alongside reports that Epic is working with Remedy on a remaster of Alan Wake and a sequel to the cult classic, intended for multiple platforms. So, what are your thoughts on the future of Control?
