Argonaut Games has announced the Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos remaster will launch on October 29, 2026 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
Originally released in 1999 for the PlayStation, Croc 2 sees the scaly hero finding a bottle washed up on the shore of a beach on Gobbo Valley, which reveals his parents are searching for him. Croc then sets off for the mainland in search of them, but soon finds out that Baron Dante, who was defeated in the original game, is back for revenge after being resurrected by Dantinis.
Players will be able to roam free across the mainline while exploring four unique villages, each one home to a specific Gobbo culture — Sailor Village, Cossack Village, Caveman Village, and Inca Village. Your adventure will see Croc rescuing captured Gobbos, taking on challenging missions, and spending your hard-earned crystals at Swap Meet Pete’s General Store. Meanwhile, our hero’s trademark jumping and tai-spinning attacks are back, but Croc can now perform a triple-jump to reach new heights, as well as las race in cars and speedboats across 40-plus stages.
Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos is due out on Oct. 29.
