After Smilegate had previously confirmed Sierra Squad would release in August, we now have a confirmed date right at the end of the month, and you can jump on the PlayStation Store now to add it to your wishlist.
“Our goal is to bring all fans of military FPS games together, regardless of experience level, into an exciting and shared VR adventure – solo or co-op with up to 4 players on a team.” said Smilegate’s director of marketing, Fred White, in the post.
“One of the key ways we’ve been able to do this is by taking full advantage of the innovative features of PlayStation VR2…We aim to usher in the next wave of VR gameplay by increasing the number of ways that players feel connected – literally – to the in-game world.”
White goes on to discuss how Sierra Squad is utilizing the PSVR2’s haptics in the Sense controllers and headset, trigger feedback, and the incredibly clear OLED screens in front of either eye.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad features 63 campaign missions that you can play alone, 50 of which you can play with a two player squad, in addition to the Horde Mode, which allows for four player co-op.
