Sony has confirmed a Darkest Dungeon release date of September 27, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.
Featuring a lush gothic aesthetic, Darkest Dungeon takes the form of a turn-based dungeon crawler that pinches inspiration from classic tabletop RPG experiences.
The game focuses on the psychological stresses of adventuring, with Darkest Dungeon’s human protagonists being pushed to their breaking points throughout the game. Expect to nab victory by factoring in equal measures of planning, strategy, and ruthlessness.
Darkest Dungeon will retail for $24.99 and will support Sony’s Cross-Buy and Cross-Save functionality. In addition, PlayStation Plus members will benefit from a 20 percent discount.
