Glen Schofield, the creator of the original 2008 Dead Space, has revealed on Twitter that he’s looking forward to seeing what the team at EA Motive does with the newly-announced Dead Space remake on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
We’ve embedded the tweet below for your consumption.
Dead Space Remake has yet to attract a release date, and will not be coming to PS4 or Xbox One. This is probably understandable given how ambitious the project sounds, with Motive promising key enhancements to the gameplay, story, combat, and more, which is presumably not possible on older consoles.
The original Dead Space was developed by EA Redwood Shores – later renamed Visceral Games – and launched for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.
Set in the distant future, Dead Space takes place on a seemingly abandoned miner, the USG Ishimura, which engineer Isaac Clarke discovers is infested with blood-thirsty creatures known as necromorphs.
