Destiny 2 Festival Of The Lost Kicks Off On Oct. 29

Bungie has provided details on this year’s Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost, which for those who aren’t in the know, is basically the shared-world shooter’s Halloween-themed event. Kicking off on October 29, Festival of the Lost will see the Tower decked out in all sorts of spooky decorations, thanks largely to Eva’s return.

Destiny 2 Festival Of The Lost Detailed

To get started, you’ll simply need to speak to Eva and acquire your Masquerader Helmet. Guardians will be able to earn Chocolate Strange Coins from bounties and activities, which in turn are used to spend on Festival of the Lost mask ornaments.

Candy is also returning for this year’s Festival of the Lost, which is used to spend on Mystery Grab Bags and the Braytech Werewolf Legendary Auto Rifle. Guardians can hit up the Haunted Forest again too, where they will duke it out with the various fiends, ghouls, and terrors that lie within.

Bungie is bolstering its customisation options too, with skeleton armor ornaments and Jack-O’-Lantern masks available to kit our your Guardians with.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost will conclude on November 19, so there’s plenty of time to get stuck into the festivities.

It’s a pretty big time for Destiny 2 right now. Bungie re-launched the game as a free-to-play title with Destiny 2: New Light, and also rolled out a brand new expansion in the shape of Shadowkeep. You can read our review on the latter here.

Destiny 2 was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2017, and arrive on the PC a month later. The game received three expansions prior to Activision’s split with Bungie earlier this year, namely Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken.

Previously, both companies had agreed a ten-year plan for the Destiny IP, although that’s obviously no longer happening.

Destiny 3 will probably happen at some point, too.
