Though the Destiny 2 player count has dropped rapidly since launch, Bungie is hoping to reinvigorate players with some new DLC. The Destiny 2 Warmind expansion will release to coincide with Season 3.
The Destiny 2 Warmind release date is confirmed for 8 May, and the new content will be revealed in a live Bungie stream on 24 April. The expansion was revealed in an updated roadmap for new content for Bungie's shooter.
This also includes a Summer seasonal event during Season 3, and a September update for Season 4. In the 8 May Destiny 2 update, players can expect the following:
- Seasonal Crucible Rankings
- Private Matches
- Vault Space Increase
- Multi-Emote
- Exotic Weapon Masterworks
- Seasonal Vendor Progression
- Exotic Weapon Sandbox Changes
- Heroic Strike Modifiers
- Nightfall Challenge Cards
From immediate effect, players should see new crucible maps for Warmind and Curse of Osiris. The new Destiny 2 Warmind update will be numbered 1.20.
