Destiny court documents reveal possible codenames for future titles

On September 6, composer Marty O’Donnell resolved a lawsuit with his former employer, Bungie, and with it came public documents detailing the case. In it, five Destiny-related projects are outlined for release through 2020.

For some background, O’Donnell, who did the music composition work on the Halo and Destiny series, was fired from Bungie in April 2014. O’Donnell then sued Bungie President, Harold Ryan, over unpaid benefits. The following month, that case was settled with more than $95,000 awarded to O’Donnell. He still has shares in the company as a founder, even though he is no longer employed with Bungie.

The situation started with O’Donnel wanting to release a music album, called “The Music of Spheres” after the game’s completion, but Activision, Destiny’s publisher, was not happy about this, and refused to use his music for the trailer at E3 in 2013. He publicly objected to this on Twitter, and things went downhill from there.

The codenames leaked are possibly future Destiny projects, spanning from Destiny’s original release in 2013 to 2020. Of course this information could change in the future and so could the dates, but future content as coming, which makes all of us fans happy regardless of the circumstances in which this information was given to us.
