Destiny server disruption Monday, Bungie warns not to partially complete activities

If you’re planning on playing Destiny today to tick off some of the Queen’s bounties before the arrival of House of Wolves on May 19 you may be disappointed.

To prepare for the update, Bungie is tinkering with the servers and as a result there may be connection interupptions throughout the day. On its Twitter account, Bungie says that work will be carried out from 8am Pacific, but we can’t get online right now so it looks like the gremlins are already at work.

If you do manage to get online, Bungie has also issued a warning about starting activities but not finishing them, though doesn’t say exactly what will happen if you do.

Watch the House of Wolves launch trailer.

House of Wolves will introduce new story missions, strikes and timed events, as well as three new PvP maps in the shape of Black Shield, Thieves’ Den and Widow’s Court. Furthermore, PS3 and PS4 gamers will also benefit from an exclusive map, Timekeeping. Furthermore, reputation and marks will be doubled, and the number of engrams you receive has also been increased. If you’re particularly skilled, you have a chance at bagging even more prizes, too, while a total of 10 new Legendary items are confirmed to appear in the Crucible as part of House of Wolves.
