Destiny update 2.1.0 coming next week, Eververse and Sunbreaker changes incoming

Speaking in its Weekly News Update, developer Bungie announced that update 2.1.0 for Destiny will be made available to owners of the shared-world shooter next week.

While a firm release date has yet to be confirmed, the Halo creator confirmed that the patch will feature new Exotic gear, balances to weapons, and a host of other features. In particular, the update will apply adjustments to the Sunbreaker, Defender, and Striker Titan subclasses.

Our current plan is to deploy the latest packages to you as soon as next week. The thing about plans is that they can change, so the exact day is up to the smart people who get to push the big red button.”

About those Titans…Ever since their Solar brothers and sisters entered the explosive mix of Destiny with the arrival of The Taken King, they’ve been quite the hot topic of conversation.Even before the first fiery salvo landed in someone’s face, there has been plenty of feedback about our armored friends. While were making some adjustments to Sunbreakers in Update 2.1.0, we won’t be leaving Strikers and Defenders out in the cold this winter.”

In addition, the Eververse Trading Company, which offers users new Emotes in exchange for Silver (aka hard-earned real cash), will be refreshed.

Said Bungie: “She’ll put the stuff you see now in some bags you can still acquire with some Silver, but their contents will be less direct and predictable.”

Destiny has been the subject of some major updates recently, with the alien shooter seeing the introduction of the Challenge Mode for the King’s Fall Raid, plus the release of the ‘Refer a Friend’ initiative, which offers exclusive in-game rewards to those who participate. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the Reef this weekend, as Xur, Agent of the Nine is waiting for you to shop around for some new Exotics.
