Destiny weekly Nightfall reset, October 11, 2016

Bungie has flicked the reset on Destiny’s servers for another week, which means Guardians now have a new set of challenges to face. With Iron Banner wrapping up, it’s probably just as well there’s some new distractions on offer, eh?

Destiny weekly reset: What is the Destiny Nightfall this week?

First up of course is the Nightfall, which offers a challenging strike mission to tackle. In case you’re new to Destiny, this particular mission does not allow for matchmaking, so make sure you have a few mates on hand to join your fireteam. That is, unless you want to try it solo, which is not recommended.

This week’s Nightfall is the Undying Mind, and comes equipped with the modifiers Epic, Specialist, Fresh Troops, Match Game, and Airborne. The Heroic Strike meanwhile features Heroic, Solar Burn, Small Arms, and Chaff.

Finally, the Challenge of the Elders has also been updated to the following:

  • Round 1: Noru’usk, Servant of Oryx (Cabal).
  • Round 2: Overmind Minotaur (Vex).
  • Round 3: Seditious Mind (Vex).

Destiny was released in September 2014 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The game has been supported by four major expansions, namely The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King, and Rise of Iron. In addition, Bungie also launched a series of time-based events to keep players entertained, including the Sparrow Racing League and Festival of the Lost.

Rise of Iron was released just last week and includes a host of new content, including extra story missions, armor, weapons, plus a brand new raid to get stuck into. Those of you who haven’t yet made the jump to Bungie’s space shooter would do well to pick up Destiny: The Collection, which features the base game plus all available downloadable content.

Looking beyond this year, Activision has confirmed that a full-fledged sequel to Destiny is currently in development and will launch at some point in 2017. Be sure to check out some leaked Destiny 2 artwork here
