Destiny was released in September 2014 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The game has been supported by four major expansions, namely The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King, and Rise of Iron. In addition, Bungie also launched a series of time-based events to keep players entertained, including the Sparrow Racing League and the aforementioned Festival of the Lost.
Rise of Iron was released back in September and includes a host of new content, including extra story missions, armor, weapons, plus a brand new raid to get stuck into. Those of you who haven’t yet made the jump to Bungie’s space shooter would do well to pick up Destiny: The Collection, which features the base game plus all available downloadable content.
Looking beyond this year, Activision has confirmed that a full-fledged sequel to Destiny is currently in development and will launch at some point in 2017. Be sure to check out some leaked Destiny 2 artwork here.
