Update 29/01/21 00:50 – Techland has disputed the May 25, 2021, release date which has appeared online as “a placeholder set by the store”. However, given that the Collector’s Edition of the game leaked and Techland has promised news soon, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is close to the actual release date.
Original Story – Techland has been keeping quiet on the Dying Light 2 release date since its delay early last year, but fans have been given fresh hope that the game isn’t too far off after a number of retailers have listed the game on their website.
You may recall that only recent the Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition was leaked online, suggesting more news is coming soon.
Now, EB Games Australia is the latest store to update its Dying Light 2 listing, which claims the game is coming out on May 25, 2021. According to some detective work by ResetEra, the listing previously carried a ‘TBA 2021′ placeholder. Does this mean the retailer has heard something from the Powers That Be?
Right now we should stress that Techland hasn’t announced anything, and retailer listing as more than often unreliable. Sometimes they hit the mark though, so we can hope this one is accurate.
