EA’s Andrew Wilson Has Played The New Battlefield, Says It Will Be A ‘Tremendous Live Service’

Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, has revealed during the publishing behemoth’s latest earnings call that he has been playing the new Battlefield game with the development team, and described it as being a “tremendous live service.”

EA hasn’t shared many details about the new Battlefield game yet, although there’s been plenty of murmurs on the title. Recently, a report on Insider Gaming claimed that the game would offer a “back to its roots approach” with 64-player matches and a four-class system.

That same month, it was revealed that EA was shuttering Ridgeline Games, and the single-player Battlefield title it was working on had been passed to Criterion Games. Furthermore, Dead Space Remake studio EA Motive has now been moved to work alongside EA’s wider Battlefield teams, making it clear the publisher has major plans for the franchise going forward.
