Elden Ring Competitive DLC Hinted At In Hidden Arena

Modder Lance McDonald has unearthed a hidden area in Elden Ring that suggests the fantasy epic may be adding a competitive multiplayer mode down the line.

McDonald was able to access out of bounds areas using a mod, which uncovered a hidden colosseum that seems to serve as a multiplayer arena. If you approach the area outside the colosseum in Elden Ring, you’ll spawn a hostile invader, which replicates the process of being invaded by another player, albeit they’re controlled by the AI.

FromSoftware hasn’t announced anything regarding Elden Ring DLC just yet, but previous games from the studio — such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne — have traditionally received some solid post-launch content.
