Elden Ring Development Is Nearing Completion, No Errand Quests Planned

Speaking during a new interview, Elden Ring‘s Yasuhiro Kitao has revealed that the upcoming fantasy-RPG is nearing the end of its development cycle, so if things continue to go smoothly, the game should be on target for its January 2022 launch.

The interview also revealed that the game will not feature any errand quests, which will no doubt please folk who have become fed up with this type of side activity bogging down modern RPGs, and described the map as “unusual.” We’re not quite sure about that last bit, but it’s got us intrigued.
