Raf Grassetti, who previously worked as an art director at God of War developer Sony Santa Monica Studio, has announced that he’s joined Netflix to work on a multiplatform AAA title. Grassetti revealed a few weeks ago that he was leaving Santa Monica, but didn’t provide any further details on his future plans.
The Netflix studio is helmed by Chacko Sonny, the former executive producer of Overwatch, and also features Joseph Staten (Creative Director) and Jerry Edsall (Director of Technology), who previously worked on Halo and Gears 5, respectively.
I’m happy to announce that I’ve joined Netflix to develop a new original IP AAA game. I’m really excited to build a team and to work with the amazing Joseph Staten, Jerry Edsall and Chacko Sonny to bring a new world to life.
The most recent entry in the God of War franchise, God of War Ragnarok, was released back in November 2022 for PS5 & PS4.
