Here’s what Keighley had to say in a post on X:
Lara Croft returns at The Game Awards,” he wrote. “As just revealed in our The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite map portal, tune in Thursday night for a look at the future of one of gaming’s most iconic franchises Tomb Raider. This is one you won’t want to miss.

Crystal Dynamics has been working on the new Tomb Raider game for quite a few years at this point, and all we know at this point is that it’s powered by Unreal Engine 5 and will take the form of a narrative-driven, single-player title. This will be the first major instalment in the series since 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The Tomb Raider series celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, so it would be a an idea period in which to launch the next chapter in the franchise.
