Ghost Recon: Frontlines Ghost Recon: Frontlines Cancelled News PlayStation PS4 PS5 Sony Splinter Cell VR Splinter Cell VR Cancelled Ubisoft

Ghost Recon: Frontlines, Splitner Cell VR, And Two Unannounced Games Have Been Cancelled By Ubisoft

Ghost Recon: Frontlines was to be a free-to-play battle royale take on the Ghost Recon formula. That’s what Ubisoft once hoped at least, though clearly not anymore, as Ubisoft has decided to cancel it and three other titles.

Splinter Cell VR has also been cancelled, a project that was originally announced for Meta Quest, though if successful could have potentially been ported to PSVR2.

While Splinter Cell fans have something to be disappointed about, seeing as how even just the idea of a Splinter Cell game in VR is downright exciting, no one will likely mourn Ghost Recon: Frontlines.

It was received so poorly, that it seems Ubisoft didn’t want to go through the trouble of trying to turn it into a finished product.

The other two games were unannounced titles, and those technically could have been anything, so use your imagination as to what got canned. Maybe even another Splinter Cell game, who knows.
