Glen Schofield Is Teasing A New Game Project Reveal For 2024

Glen Schofield, the co-creator of Dead Space and founder of Striking Distance Studios, has indicated he will be sharing details on a new video game project in 2024.

Having taken some down time following his departure from The Callisto Protocol studio earlier this year, Schofield, who is also a professional artist, revealed he’s been busy working on something new that’s gam-related, but wouldn’t go into any further details.

Here’s what Schofield had to say on Twitter:

Although I’ve taken some time off, I’ve been extremely busy & not just drawing. Something in games that’s new and exciting. Can’t wait to share more after the New Year!

Unfortunately, 2023 wasn’t exactly a great year for The Callisto Protocol following its launch at the tail end of 2022, with the game failing to deliver on commercial expectations and also receiving Luke warm reviews from critics. In many ways, it was overshadowed by the Dead Space remake, which arrived in January. Furthermore, Striking Distance Studios suffered a number of layoffs back in August.

Schofield is a veteran of the video games industry, having worked at the likes of Crystal Dynamics, Redwood Shores (aka Visceral Games), and Sledgehammer Games.
