Original Story – Sony has gone ahead and released its Investor Day presentation, which has seemingly revealed that God of War Ragnarok is the official name for the next game in the series, showcasing a logo for the first time as well.
The logo, which can be seen below and in the slide from the presentation here is the first time Sony has acknowledged that this is the name of the game or at least the working title for it. To be clear this is just the logo from the teaser trailer placed above the word Ragnarok from the teaser trailer. But, hey, it’s something. We still expect it to be called this, however, as Sony probably would have just put God of War if the title was currently unconfirmed.
Beyond that, it doesn’t give us any other kind of insight into the game or when it might release, other than it is alongside Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7, which are 2021 and 2022 games.
It does make sense to lean into that name, especially as that is what we have all been calling it since it was revealed back in September. What do you think of the name?
Sony Santa Monica has recently delved into how they took inspiration from The Last of Us Part 2 for the sequel, while Sony has stated that they aren’t developing a film or TV show based on the property.
God of War Ragnarok is set to come to PS5.
