Fresh on the heels of our God of War Ragnarok preview comes details on the graphics modes for Sony Santa Monica Studio’s upcoming sequel, and there’s good news for those with HDMI 2.1 TVs, as you’ll get to push the game further.
God of War Ragnarok will feature a number of performance modes that prioritise both frame rate and resolution, although it’s not just limited to the standard 30 FPS or 60 FPS options; HDMI 2.1 users will be able to take advantage of up to 120 FPS.
Here’s the full list:
- Favour Resolution – 4K/30FPS Locked
- Favour Performance – 60 FPS Locked
- Favour Resolution (High Frame Rate) – 4K/40FPS Locked
- Favour Performance (High Frame Rate) – Targeting 120 FPS

God of War Ragnarok is due for release on PS5 & PS4 on November 9, 2022. The development team recently admitted that the game was almost split into two parts to create a trilogy for the God of War Norse saga, although this was later dropped.
