Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Window Potentially Hinted At As FY24 By Take-Two

Publishing behemoth Take-Two has possibly hinted at plans to release Grand Theft Auto 6 by March 2024, according to its latest financial guidance.

Speaking during its announcement regarding the acquisition of Zynga earlier in the week, the publisher revealed it has forecast a 14% compound annual growth rate through 2024. As such, analysts now believe that Take-Two is planning to release a major game by March 31, 2024, which is supposedly going to be GTA 6.

According to Doug Creutz of Cowen & Company, the guidance equated to about $9 million in consumer spending, which pointed to “a likely GTA 6 launch in FY24.

Elsewhere, an analyst for Jefferies added: “There are only a handful of titles that can … provide management with the confidence to put out such a strong guidance; we believe there is at least one Rockstar IP set to be released by FY24.”

Speaking of GTA 6, it’s been claimed by an insider that the game could be Rockstar Games’ only new game release this console generation, although that remains to be seen. Regardless, the company has not yet announced GTA 6, and is currently gearing up for the release of GTA 5 on PS5 & Xbox Series X/S.

A report last year indicated that GTA 6 could incorporate fully destructible skyscrapers, and that development of the game was apparently rebooted in 2019.
