Rockstar Games has celebrated the third anniversary of Grand Theft Auto Online this week by handing out a wad of free cash for all players.

Players can sign-in to Grand Theft Auto V’s online component now to claim their free prize of $250,000 in-game cash. Note that you’ll have a limited amount of time to grab the money; the prize is only available until Monday, October 31, so don’t hang about.
In addition to the cash bonus, Rockstar is also offering discounts of up to 30 percent on a variety of content, such as vehicles, clothes, and tattoos, which will be available to snap up until November 7. You can check out a full range of discounts below.
GTA Online launched a few weeks after the release of GTA V back in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The online-focused crime caper has pulled in massive numbers for Rockstar Games, and it has been suggested that GTA Online’s success has been the reason for the developer to scrap its planned single-player DLC for the main game.

Rockstar confirmed earlier this year that GTA V’s online companion still regularly logs an impressive eight million players per week. In addition, GTA V itself has shipped a jaw-dropping 52 million copies worldwide; a feat no doubt helped by the fact the game was released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in 2014. Upon its initial launch, the open-world crime caper pulled in $800 million in one day, becoming the fastest-selling game of all time.
The developer looks set to follow GTA V’s template with the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2, which will feature an expansive online game world in addition to the main campaign. The Wild West sequel is currently slated for release on PS4 and Xbox One in fall 2017.
