Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is out now, and we’ve already got a good impressions of how the game performs on the PS5, specifically when it comes to the frame rate. Sadly, it seems Rockstar Games‘ collection of PS2 classics fails to maintain a steady 60 FPS.
As you can see from the videos below, all three games – GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas – all vary when it comes to frame rate during Performance Mode.
GTA 3 in particular can drop to as low as 35 FPS, Vice City is somewhere in the middle, and San Andreas performs the best, but still experiences drops.
On a more positive note, you can see just how the visuals have been enhanced for GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition in comparison to the original PS2 versions of the games. In addition, check out the full track listing for the collection here.
