Freelancer mode, which offers a rougelike take on Agent 47’s latest adventure, was originally scheduled to launch in Spring 2022 before being pushed to the second half of the year. We’ve decided to push beyond our original scope for launch and include almost all locations from the World of Assassination from day one. We’re continuing to work on making the launch experience as frictionless as possible for all players.
What isn’t known at this point is if IO Interactive will release the Freelancer mode as a free update or make it paid-for DLC.
