IO Interactive has refused to rule out the possibility of a Hitman: Blood Money remaster for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The studio was quizzed on Twitter by a fan if they had considered revamping the much-loved Hitman title, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. For now though, the company is focused on the new Hitman title for current-generation formats.
“Yes, we have considered it. Blood Money is a much-loved game & we’d want to do it justice. Focus now is on the current game though,” said the company.
Hitman: Blood Money is often cited as the best instalment in the stealth-action franchise to date. The game was remastered as part of the Hitman HD Trilogy for PS3 and Xbox 360 three years ago, and was originally released in 2006 on the PS2, PC, Xbox and Xbox 360.
The latest entry in the franchise, Hitman, is available now for PS4, PC and Xbox One. The game features an episodic structure, with new missions being rolled out throughout the year. Two main episodes are currently playable, with the third due later this month.
