Square Enix has unleashed the official launch trailer for Hitman’s third episode, which takes stoic assassin Agent 47 to Marrakesh.
The mission, titled ‘A Gilded Cage,’ sees our protagonist visit a bustling marketplace in Marrakesh, which is on the brink of a full-scale riot. As tensions simmer in the streets, it’s up to Agent 47 to complete his task: neutralize dodgy banker Claus Strandberg and his accomplice, Army General Reza Zaydan.
“Marrakesh marries the concepts of the first two offerings of HITMAN – Paris and Sapienza,” commented IO Interactive Studio Head, Hannes Seifert. “We have the fortressed, at times claustrophobic, nature of the Showstopper event in Paris combined with the expansiveness and lived-in feeling of Sapienza all in one. I think Marrakesh is really going to give players a lot to explore and experiment with.”
Hitman launched back in March with the Prologue and Paris chapters before following up with the Sapienza mission, which takes place in Italy. The game is due to receive updates throughout 2016, including new missions set in Thailand, United States and Japan.
Aside from the multitude of kill opportunities and unlockable extras hidden away in each mission, players can also look forward to the addition of Elusive Targets, which gives gamers a small window in which to eliminate high-value individuals at each location.
