Is God of War Ragnarok coming to PS4? Sony Santa Monica Studios‘ follow-up to the sumptuous 2018 soft reboot of Kratos’ bone-breaking antics was revealed in full at the PlayStation Showcase 2021, where we got our first look at the game in action. And it looks glorious, as you’d expect.
However, there still seems to be some confusion about whether or not God of War Ragnarok is coming to PS4 in addition to PS5. Let’s clear things up!
Is God of War Ragnarok Coming To PS4?
God of War Ragnarok PS4 – Is It Happening?
Yes, God of War Ragnarok is coming to PS4 alongside the PS5 version in 2022. Sony confirmed as much late last year, when it revealed the game would not make it out in 2021. God of War Ragnarok will join a number of first-party exclusive cross-generation titles next year, including Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7.
What Is God of War Ragnarok?
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, God of War Ragnarok is the direct follow-up to God of War (2018), taking place many years after the events of the PS4 Norse-inspired epic. Kratos and Atreus return once more, and they’re up against Thor and Freya this time around. There’s going to be new locations to explore, new Runes/abilities, and inevitably, more bone-crunching, limb-ripping combat.
