John Cena is making another appearance in games that don’t involve wrestling, as it has confirmed by Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon that Cena will be reprising and voicing his role as Peacemaker for Mortal Kombat 1.
We’ve known that Peacemaker would be an additional character in Mortal Kombat 1’s roster for some time now, though now, but it had previously been unclear if it would be Cena stepping in for the role.
Considering that J.K. Simmons will be voicing Omni-Man for MK1, this doesn’t strike as such a huge surprise, though it is good to have confirmation of.
It’ll be interesting and fun to see how Peacemaker will play among the roster of other fighters in MK1, as we’ve seen plenty of gameplay for parts of the roster, though nothing yet for the characters part of the first DLC pack.
