Following the appearance of a rating for Life is Strange Reunion last week, it’s now been confirmed that the series is officially returning in 2026 and we’ll be getting a full reveal on January 20.
The teaser trailer showcases the Life is Strange logo and features who I presume to be Max walking past the camera a few times, although it’s difficult to tell at this point. Life is Strange Reunion isn’t mentioned at this point, but assuming this new project is indeed Reunion, we can expect Chloe to return as previously reported. Regardless, Square Enix’s social channels confirm it’s a new game.
The previous Life Is Strange game was released in 2024 and developed by Deck Nine Games, and follows Max after the events of the first game, where she finds herself coping with powers while working as a photographer-in-residence at Caledon University.
Square Enix had previously distributed a survey to fans following the release of Double Exposure in order to garner feedback from fans, and a report claimed soon after that Double Exposure was a “large loss” for the publisher.
