Life is Strange Reunion, an unannounced sequel in the popular narrative-driven franchise, has been rated by PEGI for the PS5, and looks set to reunite original characters Chloe and Max.
While publisher Square Enix hasn’t announced anything about a new Life is Strange game following the release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, the fact PEGI has rated the project means we can’t be too far off from a reveal. Here’s a description of the game:
Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time… Losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus.
The rating also reveals a number of mature content, including a party scene where the main character is offered wine and is given the chance to take a sip. However, they soon realise that the drink was spiked and start experiencing hallucinations. There’s also mention of strong language use, which isn’t surprising for a Life is Strange game.
A sequel to Life is Strange: Double Exposure has been rumoured previously, although back in March last year Square Enix reportedly stated that Double Exposure was a “large loss” for the publisher. This follows on from Square Enix sending a survey out to fans with aim of gathering feedback on the title in January 2025.
Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is available for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S, and was developed by Deck Nine Games. The team also worked onon Life Is Strange: Before The Storm, which is a prequel to the original DONTNOD-developed Life Is Strange, as well as Life Is Strange: True Colors.
