Devolver Digital and All Possible Futures have super-glued a September 17, 2024 release date to magical action-adventure romp The Plucky Squire on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Plucky Squire is an enchanting adventure that follows story book characters Jot and pals as they unearth a three-dimensional world outside the trappings of their book. However, Humgrump, a malevolent sort who discovers he’s the villain of said book, decides to boot Jot out of the pages to alter the story.
This sets up a unique adventure that combines 2D and 3D worlds as players, as Jot, must rescue his friends from Humgrump’s forces while solving puzzles, flying a jetpack, and boxing badgers to become a hero of a living storybook. Jot isn’t alone in his adventure however, as his brave adventure buddies company him on his quest, including an eccentric DJIng wizard.
