Marvel’s Avengers & Iron Man VR Confirmed For San Diego Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con will play host to a special Marvel Games panel featuring Marvel’s Avengers and Iron Man VR. The event will take place on July 18 in Hall H, and both games will be playable at the event, though further details have yet to be confirmed at this point.

Hosted by Greg Miller of Kinda Funny Games fame, the event will also include “many unannounced special surprises and panel exclusives,” with gameplay, interviews, and Q&A also promised. In addition, we’ll be getting a deeper dive into the games’ mechanics thanks to creative director, Bill Rosemann, who will be on hand to answer questions at the panel.

Marvel’s Avengers is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One at Crystal Dynamics, and will launch on May 15, 2020. The game is a brand new adventure complete separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and sees the likes of Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor taking on a new global threat.

Crystal Dynamics has revealed that certain missions will be playable cooperatively, but the main campaign is a solo affair only. However, there’s no need to go online if you don’t want to; Marvel’s Avengers won’t force anything on you on this respect, so you’re welcome to tackle the game completely offline if you want.

Meanwhile, Iron Man VR has yet to attract a release date, and gives players the chance to suit up as Tony Stark’s superhero alter-ego as he faces off against some of his deadliest foes.

“Use two PlayStation Move motion controllers fire up Iron Man’s Repulsor Jets and blast into the skies with a hi-tech arsenal at your fingertips. And if the suit needs upgrades, head over to Tony Stark’s garage to customize Iron Man’s sleek suit and awesome abilities,” reads the blurb.
