Insomniac Games is set to blow the lid off Marvel’s Wolverine at State of Play tomorrow with an extended look at the PS5 superhero title, and it’s now emerged that preorders for the highly anticipated title are set to go live following the event.
That’s at least according to a number of retailer promotions that have been doing the rounds on social media over the weekend, including one from GameStop. Given how close we are to the game’s September launch, it makes sense that Sony would want to open the floodgates to preorders after a dedicated gameplay blowout .
Insomniac Games has mentioned on more than a few occasions that it would be sharing new details on Marvel’s Wolverine in Spring 2026, and last week it was confirmed that the game will getting a major focus at State of Play on June 2. In an interesting tidbit, Liam McIntyre, the actor who portrays Logan in the title, said he’s been working on Marvel’s Wolverine for almost as long as his own son has been alive.
Here’s the official blurb on the game:
In this original story, Wolverine is on the hunt to uncover the secrets of a dark past that keeps eluding him. His search for answers will send him on perilous excursions to exotic locales, including the island nation of Madripoor, the frosted wilderness of Canada and the narrow city streets of Tokyo – all potential battlegrounds for fierce, bloody, destructive action.
Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15 exclusively for PS5.
