BioWare has finally announced the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for PS4, which will release in Spring 2021 and have a number of enhancements for PS5, including forward compatibility.
The edition includes the remasters of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and all of their DLC and single-player content. This edition has improved textures, shaders, models, effects, technical improvements and bolsters a modernised experience with faster frame rates, visual enhancements, and a “super sharp” resolution. All of this content will also be optimised for 4K Ultra HD resolutions.
Whilst it is sad to not see a native PS5 release for the title, these improvements above should provide a lot of optimisation and hopefully it will take advantage of Sony’s amazing hardware, which we reviewed just yesterday.
