Mega Man X: Boss Guide and Boss Order

The Mega Man X Legacy Collection features eight of some of the best retro titles around. We compiled a guide to help you get through each of the bosses and in the easiest order. The trick to defeating each boss, is to find the easiest to defeat and then take the new weapon acquired from them and taking on the next boss who’s weak against you’re newly acquired weapon.

Mega Man X Boss Guide

Chill Penguin (Mountain Base)

Mega Man X boss weaknesses: Chill Penguin is the easiest of the eight bosses to defeat with your X Blaster
  • Weakness: Fire Wave
  • Weapon Acquired: Shotgun Ice

Spark Mandrill (Gigantic Generator)

Spark Mandrill is easily stopped in his tracks with the Shotgun Ice
  • Weakness: Shotgun Ice
  • Weapon Acquired: Electric Spark

Armored Armadillo (Underground Mines)

Make sure you strike Armored Armadillo with the Spark weapon to brake his armor
  • Weakness: Electric Spark
  • Weapon Acquired: Rolling Shield

Launch Octopus (Marine Base Entrance)

The Rolling shield will destroy most of his arms making the fight that much easier
  • Weakness: Rolling Sheild
  • Weapon Acquired: Homing Torpedo

Boomer Kuwanger (Kuwanger)

Blast him with the Homing Torpedo to make this fight easy. Just jump over his charging attack and fire away
  • Weakness: Homing Torpedo
  • Weapon Acquired: Boomerang Cutter

Sting Chameleon (Forest Base)

You’ll have to jump to hit this enemy a lot and it has quite a bit of hard to dodge attacks
  • Weakness: Boomerang Cutter
  • Weapon Acquired: Chameleon Sting

Storm Eagle (Cruiser 1001)

This fight involves a lot of dashing skills to avoid his dive attack
  • Weakness: Chameleon Sting
  • Weapon Acquired: Storm Tornado

Flame Mammoth (Lava Factory)

Flame Mammoth isn’t that difficult of a boss just avoid his leaping attack and his fire balls and it should be an easy battle

Boss Spider

The Boss Spider looks tough but its actually easy to predict its movements and just blast it from a distance.

Rangda Bangda

  • Weakness: Chameleon Sting

D-Rex

  • Weakness: Boomerang Cutter

Velguader

  • Weakness: Shotgun Ice

Sigma

Sigma is actually pretty easy as long as you keep jumping on the walls up until he reaches your location, then fall down and blast him.

  • Weakness: Rolling Shield
