Metal Gear Rising Revengeance has celebrated its 10th anniversary this week with a host of new artwork, although sadly, it looks like any hopes of seeing a remaster have been firmly dashed.
To celebrate the milestone, Platinum Games’ Kenji Saito posted a letter to fans on the company’s website, where you can also view some new artwork on the game.

It feels unreal that MGR:R is still a topic of conversation a whole decade later. This recognition of the game has also led to an increase in player count over the years and we’re also seeing heaps of players continue to stream the game online to this day. This is truly moving stuff…
PlatinumGames had previously announced plans for a 10th anniversary event, leading to speculation we may be getting a remaster. In addition, the voice actor for Raiden suggested that some sort of announcement would be coming soon.
However, this could be related to the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid revival, which reportedly includes remasters of previous games as well as a full remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Oh, and we’re also hearing murmurs of a Metal Gear Solid remake, too. Too good to be true? Let’s wait and see!
