Retail giant Amazon UK has started replacing its PS5 orders that failed to turn up for preorder customers at launch.
A number of customers who preordered Sony’s next-generation console failed to receive their PS5s, with couriers marking their orders as delivered despite them not been received. Others instead opened their packages to find kitchen appliances and other items.
One customer managed to catch a driver on CCTV apparently marking their PS5 as delivered before driving off without dropping the package off.
Fortunately, a number of customers have now confirmed they have received their PS5s. You can see some examples below.
So after all this, Amazon said they now had stock and would issue a replacement. And look what just arrived (Amazon tape in tact this time) pic.twitter.com/VLsNUOEIdn

Finally the proud owner of a #PS5 from @AmazonUK as they followed through on their promise to “put it right” after the first was likely stolen. My journey was okay, but others have had a very poor customer service trying to resolve their order issues. #consoleme #ps5ukstock pic.twitter.com/VVY8Xgy8Bl

The PS5 was released in the UK on November 19, and Sony revealed that it was the most successful hardware launch of all time. In fact, it’s been reported that the PS5 is the biggest UK console launch of all time.
