NetherRealm Studios has reportedly tinkered with a few key elements of Mortal Kombat 1 based on player feedback, with reports coming from EVO 2023 over the weekend revealing that areas including movement speed, including back dashing, has been improved.
SonicFox, an esports player who has plenty of experience when it comes to the Mortal Kombat series, noted that he block dash feature seen in Mortal Kombat 9 (aka Mortal Kombat from 2011) has been introduced to the game, with speed of movement also increased.
Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat co-creator, took to Twitter to reveal that the team at NetherRealm “encourage feedback from whomever gets a chance to play these early builds. Let’s make this the best it can be together!”
NetherRealm Studios previously revealed a bunch of new characters for Mortal Kombat 1 at EVO 2023, including Reptile, Havik, and Ashrah, who will be fully playable in the upcoming brawler.
Mortal Kombat 1 is due for release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023.
