2K has revealed their Cover Star for the NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition on PS5 and PS4 as Kobe Bryant, honoring the player’s legacy after he tragically died earlier this year.
The Mamba Forever Edition is this year’s Collector’s Edition for the game and will come with different art on PS4 and PS5. Above you can see the PS5 artwork, whereas the PS4 artwork is below.
2K also revealed that the game will be releasing for PS4 on September 4, 2020, with a PS5 release coming this holiday.
This news comes after Damian Lilliard was confirmed as the game’s current generation cover star, with Zion Williamson appearing on next-gen versions of the game.
NBA 2K21 releases for PS4 on September 4, 2020, with a PS5 release coming this Holiday. In a controversial move, the next-generation versions of the game will retail for $69.99/£64.99, some $10 more than the PS4 and Xbox One editions.
