EA Says New Battlefield Game Will Be A ‘Reimagination Of A Truly Connected Universe’

Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, has revealed during the company’s latest earnings call that the next entry in the Battlefield franchise will be a “reimagination of a truly connected universe.”

That’s about all we have to go on right now regarding the new Battlefield game ,as Wilson didn’t elaborate any further. However, there’s been plenty of rumours about the game dating back to March last year, where leaker Tom Henderson claiming it would revert many of the changes made in Battlefield 2042.

Henderson also revealed in a separate report that the new Battlefield game would likely be released in 2024, something which hasn’t been confirmed yet by EA. Beyond that, we know that the publishing powerhouse is working on a new Battlefield campaign project at its Seattle-based studio.

Battlefield 2042 was released for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in November 2021, and is still receiving major supported from EA. The game was noted for having got off to a pretty dodgy start, but things have improved drastically in the past 18+ months or so.
