Bungie has detailed the latest hot fix for Destiny, which aims to improve the loot given during the Nightfall and other missions throughout the shared-world shooter.
Guardians can now expect a better chance of nabbing gear that will push their Light Level higher, as the stats for attack/defense for weapons and armor, respectively, has now been increased by 10 points. As a result, those of you still grinding for 290+ Light Level will have a much better chance of getting there, especially if you want to tackle the Raid, where even more rare loot drops await players.
In addition, the number of Strange Coins received for the Nightfall and Weekly Crucible Bounty has been increased, and Ghost Shells have also been added to the table of potential loot drops for each activity. There’s a few more things too, which you can see in the notes below. Be sure to check out the latest Nightfall details following yesterday’s reset while you’re at it.
– – – – – – – – –
Weekly Nightfall Strike
Increased the base level of Nightfall Legendary rewards by 10 Attack/Defense
Increased the chance of Legendary rewards by 10% (from 50% to 60%)
Increased the number of Strange Coins or Three of Coins awards
Ghosts have been added to the Legendary reward loot table
Legendary Engrams no longer drop from Nightfall Strike boss kills
– They will continue to drop their unique Legendary items
Removed Antiquated Runes from the loot tables
Weekly Crucible Bounty
Increased base level of Weekly Crucible Bounty Legendary rewards by 10 Attack
Increased number of Strange Coins awarded
Ghosts have been added to the Legendary reward loot table
The Court of Oryx has also been mixed up, with Tier 3 now offering up Balwur as your weekly challenge. Remember folks, he also counts as an Ultra for the Three of Coins buff, so if you have any in your inventory still, it’s probably worth keeping in mind when you battle Balwur. Tomorrow will see the weekly Armsday reset, so stay tuned to PSU for more details on that, and keep in mind that Xur, Agent of the Nine will return for another visit this Friday.
Bungie recently offered a fairly major update for Destiny specifically targeting those pesky Shotgun kills, and also introduced the Eververse Trading Company, allowing gamers to purchase new Emotes with their hard-earned cash. Despite this, the former Halo developer assured fans that itwon’t be offering anything else for real-life money. Be on the lookout for a brand new difficulty for Destiny’s latest Raid, which will drop just in time for Halloween.
