No Man’s Sky: Ex-PlayStation exec says ‘it’s a miracle the game made it this far’

Shahid Kamal Ahmad, former champion of all things PlayStation Vita for Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), has spoken about No Man’s Sky’s troubled development history on Twitter, stating it’s ‘a miracle’ the game has managed to come to fruition.

Ahmad has since moved on and is now director at Ultimatum Games, although he served as a key role in getting No Man’s Sky off the ground by introducing Hello Games to the folks at Sony. However, it’s clear things didn’t always go swimmingly in the game’s creation.

Check out his comments below. No Man’s Sky is due for release in the U.S. tomorrow and arrives in the U.K. on August 10. The game is now available to pre-load and has received its first major update, which includes a wealth of tweaks and new content.
