No Man’s Sky players need to continuously travel through its open world in order to survive. And aside from winning battles, you need to mine and scavenge resources to craft weapons and build. However, not all material resources are open for exploration. Some of them, especially if they are valuable ones are protected by steel locked doors. So let us show you No Man’s Sky how to break down doors and get access to more resources.
What are No Man’s Sky Doors
Doors are base building structures in No Man’s Sky PS4. Obviously, they are used as point of entry and exit in buildings. You can build doors on your own using 20 units of Iron.
Entering steel doors should not be that difficult. Most doors you’ll encounter in No Man’s Sky will open automatically as you go near them. It is just like what we see in malls or hotels in real world which are controlled by motion detectors. However, there also doors which are hard to open and require force to open.
How will you know if you need to manually open the No Man’s sky door? Simply look at the door’s life bar and it will show you a “destroy” option; instead of showing a key that you need to press. Once you see this signs, you will need to damage the door until you finally break into it.
No Man’s Sky How to Break Down Doors
The only way to break locked doors is on weapon mode or using plasma grenades. We recommend using upgraded weapons which can inflict higher damage. This way you’ll save more time and finish quicker.
However, once you start hitting the door, you’ll automatically get a level 2 infraction. This will alert the Sentinels and they will come and get you. Now you have to make a choice. You can continue destroying the door or stop for a moment to face the Sentinels.
Ultimately, if you successfully break down the doors and enter the building, the Sentinels will go back to passive mode. They will stop attacking you. To lower down your infraction level, go to a nearby terminal and interact with it. Then you can do whatever you want inside the building.
