No Man’s Sky Fleet Command Room – How To Build And Command Frigates

The new No Man’s Sky PS4 update NEXT features an overhaul of the Freighter ship type. Here, we discuss this in our No Man’s Sky Freighter guide, as well as its new upgrades and enhanced functionality. One of its highlights is player’s ability to command up to 50 Frigates from the freighter’s bridge. This level of control is made possible through an all-new No Man’s Sky Fleet Command Room. However, the freighter has no built-in Fleet Command Room so you have to build it yourself.

How To Build No Man’s Sky Fleet Command Room?

No Man’s Sky NEXT update allows any Freighter to have a Fleet Command Room. This is where you should control your fleets of frigates for missions. You can deploy up to 5 frigates for the same mission. Frigates have their own star rating that should match with the mission’s difficulty if you want to be successful. Before anything, you have to build the Fleet Command room first.

To do this, you should be in Normal or Survival Mode then go to the build menu. Currently, there are issues that prevent you from building the command room in Creative Mode. The good news however is Hello Games already rolled their plans in fixing this issue.

Regarding this, Sean Murray tweeted this on July 25, 2018 – “People associate NMS with me, but it’s made by a small team of extremely talented and hard-working folks. They are incredible. First hotfix patch is in experimental on Steam and GoG. Patches for PS4 and Xbox are working their way through Cert.”

With that in mind, it looks like we might expect the No Man’s Sky Fleet Command Room update sooner rather than later.
