PlayStation PC Launcher Referenced Discovered In Marvel’s Spider-Man PC Files

Dataminers have been busy poking around in the files for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC, and their latest discover is references to a PlayStation PC launcher. This follows on from evidence regarding PSN accounting linking for PlayStation Studios PC games was unearthed yesterday.

The mention of a Playstation PC launcher suggests Sony is looking to follow the likes of Activision, Rockstar and Ubisoft, who all have their own dedicated launchers.

As mentioned, it appears that Sony has big plans for its PC ports, with PSNAccountedLinked and PSNLinkingEntitlements both being found within the files for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC.

Furthermore, its newly-launched website for PlayStation Studios PC games mentions that users do not “currently” require a PSN account to play its games, suggesting this may change down the line. Given Sony’s push on the PC front the past few years, it’s not out of the question PSN may come into play.
