Sony Interactive Entertainment could be looking to introduce PSN integration into its PC PlayStation Studios titles, according to files unearthed in the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man.
References to PSN integration were unearthed in the game’s code, indicating Sony is looking to allow PC players to link their PSN accounts to certain titles in order to unlock in-game bonus content. PSN support for PC games isn’t supported right now, but there’s references to “PSNAccountLinked” and “PSNLinkingEntitlements” in Spider-Man’s files.
In addition, further digging reveals “LevelCapExtras” pertaining to “PSN Linking bonuses,” indicating that Insomniac Games was planning on giving bonuses to players for linking their PSN account.
Sony does seem to have something planned, as its newly-launched PC website indicated that PSN account linking was on the cards, saying players do not “currently” require a PSN account to play PlayStation Studios PC games.

Sony has already ported a number of PlayStation Studios-developed games to the PC, including Days Gone, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn. From the look of things, the format holder is looking to implement PSN integration for PC games, although nothing official has been announced yet.
