Ubisoft has revealed on Twitter in wake of the 20th anniversary of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time that its upcoming remake of the game has passed an ‘important internal milestone.’

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was originally announced in September 2020, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic was pushed back to March 2021 and Ubisoft later confirmed that the title had been pushed back to a later date as it applied major changes to the project.
In October 2021, Ubisoft said that the title was still in development but would be released in the company’s next fiscal year, which would put it out by March 31, 2023. That didn’t happen, obviously, and in May of this year it was revealed the game was still in the conception phase.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is currently without a release date.
