PS Vita a cheap addition for existing AT&T customers

A common speculation about the 3G version of the PlayStation Vita is that the 3G service isn’t worth the $30 price tag, but AT&T has an affordable option for existing customers.

Customers who have existing plans, or purchase a new plan, with an activated 3G phone or device can add their PS Vita to their coverage plan for $10 a month. For users who truly use this feature, this is a great deal. The only catch to this is the activation fee in the listed requirements, which are:

"-At least one smartphone is required. 3G capable and higher devices are required.

-Mobile Share plans include and require Mobile Share unlimited domestic voice and text for phones.

-Mobile hotspot and tethering is included for no extra charge on all capable devices.AT&T’s existing plans are still available for new and existing customers.

-When switching to Mobile Share plan from a prepaid plan (DataConnect Pass), remember to cancel reoccurring renewal on the prepaid plan (DataConnect Pass).

-Customers converting from a prepaid plan (DataConnect Pass) to a Mobile Share plan will incur a one time $36 activation fee."

It may sound hefty, but having a PS Vita’s 3G service active for more than a month would more than compensate for the activation fee.
